Qualification: Mechanical Engineering

The complexity of tasks performed in the operation of construction equipment is a serious challenge for the preparation of Curricula for this course. Such tasks require intricate perceptual-motor skills that improve over many years of field experience. Although industry training programs employ established curricula that introduce equipment functions and typical task objectives, they are not enough to an upcoming operator to master the skills.

operators must take refresher training for each type of equipment they operate every 3 years.  This program requires an additional component of supervised equipment operation for those employees who have not operated that type of equipment within the past 3 years and for those employees who have exhibited a deficiency in their competency to operate the equipment.
